Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to lace up their shoes and kick off River Hospital’s Inaugural Harvest Festival and 5K Run/Walk on Sunday October 11th, 2015. The Harvest 5K starts and finishes at Scenic View Park Pavilion in Alexandria Bay, NY. Proceeds from the event will benefit River Hospital’s River Family Health Center.

Registration begins at 9:00am, with a race start time of 10:00am. Registration can be done in advance by printing the registration packet from www.riverhospital.org. The registration fee is $25 before the event, and $30 day of event. 12 and under enter free. The first 75 individuals to register for the Harvest 5K will receive an event t-shirt. All Harvest 5K participants will also receive a swag bag. Participants in the Harvest 5K are encouraged to wear costumes as there will be awards for the Best Costume for individuals and group as well as for the top 3 finishers of the race.

After the race, participants and community members are invited to join River Hospital for Harvest Festival activities at Scenic View Park Pavilion. The family-oriented event is certain to please young and old alike! The Harvest Festival will feature music provided by Tunes 92.5, food and beverages, a children’s costume contest and activities, and a health and wellness fair. The children’s costume contest will be separate from the Harvest 5K participant costume contest. Children are encouraged to attend the Harvest Festival in a creative costume for entrance in the costume contest. There will be awards in various age categories.
