Our services are designed to meet the needs of families from diverse backgrounds who may benefit from outpatient assessment and treatment. Children and teens sometimes need help adjusting to life stressors. Oftentimes children and teens are not able to tell us what is wrong, but they show us something is wrong through their behaviors.

Warning signs include (not limited to):

  • Difficulties at school (with teachers, friends, or school work)
  • Sudden changes in mood and/or behavior
  • Physical complaints, like frequent headaches or stomach aches, with no apparent physical cause
  • Difficulties sleeping, eating, or going to the bathroom
  • Sleeping too much
  • Irritability, explosive anger, uncontrollable “temper tantrums”
  • Sad, scary, or concerning dreams, nightmares, thoughts, or fantasies
  • Substance use
  • Self-harm or suicidal thoughts
  • Harming others and/or animals

If your child is experiencing any of these warning signs, they may benefit from services at River Community Wellness Program.

We diagnose and treat children and adolescents, ages 5 to 17, with a variety of problems including depression, anxiety, attention deficits and other mental health concerns.
