River Hospital announced today the Board’s selection of Emily Mastaler, MA, MBA, as the next CEO of River Hospital. Mastaler will succeed current CEO, Ben Moore, III who is retiring in the fall after a 13-year tenure at the hospital.

Her leadership, vast healthcare experience and commitment to patient care will further advance our mission of providing quality health care to the River Communities.”
Since 2014, Mastaler has served as Chief Operating Officer of Health Care and Rehabilitation Services (HCRS) in Springfield, VT. She held previous roles at HCRS as Director of Residential Services from 2012 to 2014, Director of New Perspectives for Care from 2010 to 2012 and Manager of Community Rehabilitation and Treatment Programs from 2007 to 2010.

Mastaler earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Northeastern University, a Master’s in Psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Elmira College. She is expected to begin her tenure at River Hospital in early Fall.
