The River Legacy is a group of like-minded individuals who believe in quality health care today, and in the future. Your planned gift supports ongoing initiatives that address the most pressing health care needs, strengthening the River Communities for years to come. To become a member of The River Legacy, you only need to inform the Development Office that you have made, or intend to make, a planned gift to River Hospital.

A charitable planned gift to River Hospital is one way to leave a legacy of caring for generations to come. It is also a prudent way to reduce or eliminate gift, estate, capital gains and income taxes on the funds you give for the charitable purposes, while supporting River Hospital’s important mission of quality healthcare. Planned gifts include charitable contributions through wills, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, life insurance or pooled income funds.

Your thoughtful gift can provide new technologies, enhance River Hospital’s ability to provide patient care, and touch literally thousands of men, women and children who benefit from the many programs and services at River Hospital. The amount of the bequest or trust is entirely your choice and will be kept strictly confidential. We would be delighted to meet with you and answer any questions you may have.

A gift in honor or memory of a beloved friend or associate can be the most appropriate way to express a lasting tribute. To honor someone at an important milestone in his or her life, for instance a birthday or anniversary, is also a way to give a special gift to that person. This is also an ideal way to recognize a River Hospital employee who has made a difference in the life of a patient.

The Grateful Patient Program provides an opportunity to recognize the care you or a loved one received as a patient of River Hospital. You may honor staff, a physician, an area of care, or a clinical program while making a tangible, meaningful impact on our ability to care for patients.
